Frequently Asked Questions

ELECTRODE PADS
I already have a TENS unit that comes with free electrodes. Can I use Syrtenty electrodes for replacement?
Free electrodes that are included in your TENS unit may lose their adhesiveness in the long run. Syrtenty electrodes are considered great replacements because of their self-adhering feature that sticks on without having to use any gel or liquid, and their universal compatibility. Syrtenty pigtail electrode pads can be used with most TENS unit models.
I had trouble sticking my old electrodes to my skin. Will I have the same problem with Syrtenty electrodes?
Self-adhering electrodes naturally lose their stickiness after some time. Nevertheless, Syrtenty electrodes are made of high-quality gel to ensure that they still stick well even after using multiple times. All you have to do is clean and store them properly.
What if I don’t receive my order on the date specified on the detail page?
If the company fails to deliver your order on the date indicated on the detail page, the shipping cost will be refunded. This is, however, only applicable to orders that meet the Guaranteed Accelerated Delivery qualifications.
It’s my first time to replace the electrodes of my TENS unit and I plan to order Syrtenty electrodes. Are these electrodes user-friendly?
Your package would come with easy-to-understand information and instructions on how to use the electrode pads. The company will also email you the instructions on the proper and safe use of the electrodes. Syrtenty also has a website where you can find further instructions. It is also encouraged that you contact Syrtenty customer support should you have any concerns.
Will I have any problems removing the Syrtenty electrode after using?
Although Syrtenty electrodes are made of highly adhesive gel, they’re very easy to peel off. Just follow the instructions carefully and you’ll be able to remove them with ease.
What’s the best Syrtenty electrode for the legs or the limbs?
The larger pads, such as the 4.5” x 6” butterfly electrode pads, are excellent to use for wider areas like the legs and they can also ensure precise stimulation of the affected spots providing greater pain relief.
I live outside the US and I’m worried that if I order Syrtenty electrodes, they will already have some defects when they arrive. What is the assurance that I will receive my package in good condition?
Syrtenty electrodes are placed in resealable, double-seal packaging, so they don’t fall off and get damaged. Should you receive defective products due to mishandling during the delivery, the company will replace your order the soonest time possible.

You can re-use the Syrtenty electrodes for up to 10 - 15 times with the proper removal, care, and storage after use.

What are the available sizes and shapes of Syrtenty electrodes?
Syrtenty electrodes are available in the following sizes and shapes: 1”, 2" and 2.75" round, 1.5” x 13” strip, 2”x4” rectangle, 2” and 1.5" square, and 4.5” x 6” butterfly.
Do I need to prepare my skin before using these electrode pads?
The areas where the electrodes will be placed must be thoroughly cleansed with soap and water. It would also be ideal to use scrub gel. Never use alcohol or apply lotion on the areas prior to placing the electrode pads. Allow the areas to air dry before putting the electrodes.
How do I properly remove the Syrtenty electrode pads from my skin?
You can remove the electrode pads from your skin by slightly bending the corner of the liner. You can then rub your thumb in an upward motion across the edge of the electrode. This will help loosen the gel. If you’re using pigtails or those electrodes with pre-attached wires, never attempt pulling on the wire when removing as this will damage the product. You can instead tug on the edge of the electrode and peel it off from the skin.
How do I know if I am allergic to these electrode pads?
Syrtenty electrodes are latex-free. If irritation occurs, just discontinue use and consult your physician.
Electrode pads must be returned to the air-tight packaging and must be placed in a cool, dry place not exposed to bright light or any extremes in temperature.
How do I clean Syrtenty electrodes?
Electrodes don’t have to be cleaned, but you might want to put drops of water to keep the adhesive fresh. All you have to do is to cover the conductive surface of each electrode pad with a plastic liner after using, and put it back in its air-tight packaging.
My skin turned red after I took the electrodes off, what should I do?
It is normal to find slight reddening of the skin after taking off the electrodes. This, however, should be gone a few hours after the therapy. If it still persists, consult your doctor. Syrtenty electrodes are Latex-free.
What if the electrode won’t stick? How do I make it stay in place?
If the electrode gets flimsy, all you have to do is rehydrate it with water. Rub the gel surface of the electrode with a few drops of water. This helps improve its adhesiveness.

BED and CHAIR FALL PREVENTION ALARM
How does Syrtenty bed alarm and long term sensor pad prevent the user from falling?
The bed alarm is connected to a pressure and weight-sensitive pad and whenever the patient or the elderly tries to get out of bed, the changes in pressure or weight exerted on the sensor pad triggers the alarm. The alarm tone can be a typical loud noise or a musical alert to the tune of “It’s a Small World”. This would alert the caregiver that the patient is trying to get out of bed. It is also suggested that you place the sensor pad near the shoulder blades of the patient so you’ll right away be warned even before the patient can get up. It helps raise the awareness level of the caregiver on the patient’s mobility, thus diminishes chances of falling.
How do I operate the bed alarm and long term sensor pad?
All you have to do is hook the alarm to the long term sensor pad. The sensor pad is placed under the patient’s buttocks or shoulder blades then set the alarm.
What is the size of the long term sensor pad?
Sensor pads for the bed and the chair alarms have different sizes. The sensor pad for the bed alarm has the following dimensions: Length 29 inches; Width 7.5 inches and Length 15 inches; Width 7.5 inches for the chair alarm.
What type of batteries do I use for the alarm?
Syrtenty bed and chair alarms have free batteries included but in case you want an extra battery, you should use a 9.0 volt one.
I don’t want to keep changing the batteries, what should I do?
If you don’t like frequently changing batteries, you may opt to look for an AC adapter for the alarm.
What if the elderly has urinary incontinence, does the pad get soiled?
You don’t have to worry if someone leaks on the sensor pad as this is thoroughly sealed and is impermeable to fluids.
What if I’m in the other room, will I still be able to hear the alarm?
The alarm is loud enough for you to hear even if you are in a different room. You also have the option to adjust the volume of the alarm.

Although this inflatable traction collar is pretty similar to the “Over the Door” traction device, this is portable so you can carry it with you virtually anywhere, whether you’re at home browsing through the web or on a long road trip.
What are its contraindications?
People who are known to have serious pre-existing medical conditions, especially those that limit mobility such as rheumatoid arthritis, vascular disorders and structural deformity due to tumor formation, are suggested to consult their physician first.
How do I use the traction collar?
It’s pretty easy to use the traction collar. Just place the traction device around your neck and adjust the diameter to a snug fit with the Velcro straps. Slowly start inflating using the pump. Continue inflating the traction device until optimum comfort is achieved. You may remove the inflating pump for comfort. Ideally, start with light traction then gradually increase traction strength.
What is the ideal diameter for traction application?
The ideal diameter for traction application ranges from 28 cm to 48 cm. The angle may also be adjusted alongside.
How many hours a day do I have to apply the cervical traction device?
Traction application should last about 20 minutes per day and this should already help alleviate the symptoms.
How do I extend the life of the traction collar?
One of the ways to extend the life of the device is by storing it properly. When not in use, the device must be deflated. However, it is also recommended that you store it with a little air.
Can I use the cervical traction collar without physician’s advice?
The traction collar is relatively safe to use. However, it would be great to consult your physician first to ascertain that you have no pre-existing disease that can be a contraindication for traction application.
